Quantitative Assessment
     instructions

Disclaimer: The following exercise will take you approximately 20 minutes. You have no reason to be unreasonably anxious--we'll teach you all the math you need to solve problems such as these throughout the course of the semester. This quiz will play no role in any grading decisions; it is primarily designed to let me know how well you have been prepared in your previous math courses for doing physics homework. With the help of this survey, I will be able to tailor the course's math sections to the needs of this semester's class.
Instructions: Some of the following questions are rather long, and some are rather difficult. All, however, are to be answered with NUMBERS OR LETTERS. To answer a question, you should

  • carefully read the question
  • work out your answer on a separate sheet of paper
  • type your answer in the answer box provided at the end of each question.
  • When you are satisfied that you have done your best to answer all questions correctly, press "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT PRESS "SUBMIT" UNTIL YOU HAVE ANSWERED ALL OF THE QUESTIONS.
