  • When did Galileo live?
  • Who else was alive then?
  • What science is he known for?
  • What political/social setting did he have?
  • Motion is one of the main subjects of physics. Why is it interesting?
  • Give a counterexample to the vertical ordering of earth below water below air below fire, and the natural tendency of these four elements to seek their own level.
  • Give a counterexample to heavier objects falling faster than lighter ones.
  • Give a counterexample to falling objects speeding up as they fall.
